Saint Luke loves middle school and high school students. Spark student ministries provides opportunities for students to connect with God, one another, and the church.

Spark Student Ministries

Spark Student Ministries is for students in 7th-12th grade. Whether it is confirmation class, Hangout Days at Silver Springs Martin Luther School, ice cream socials, or something else we have up our sleeve, Spark is sure to be a great place for students to build friendships, have fun, make a difference, and grow in their faith. Some of the Spark programs available on Sundays include: 

CONFIRMATION

Confirmation is the place for all 7th-9th grade students to connect with one another, have fun, as well as explore what faith means to them. Confirmation also allow students to explore, discover and declare their Lutheran beliefs. For those looking to affirm their beliefs publicly, Confirmation Sunday is typically celebrated on the first Sunday in March during a student’s 9th grade year.

This fall, Confirmation will meet each Sunday from 10:45-11:45am at Saint Luke.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Spark Student Ministry offers special events throughout the year for students. Be sure to keep an eye out for great events such as the Appalachia Mission trip, ELCA Youth gathering, and many more!

ELCA YOUTH GATHERING

The ELCA Youth Gathering for high school-age youth is about faith formation, worship, study, fellowship, service and play. It takes place every three years and is an incredible opportunity for youth to engage with students from across the United States, and even the world, who share a common commitment and faith in Christ.
