We say that God is Love, and our faith teaches that Jesus embodies that, but how can we truly feel this in our everyday lives? What does it mean to live from the heart? Women of Saint Luke and friends are invited to an afternoon of reflection, self-discovery, discussion and snacks in Schlack Hall, led by Marie Roberts, Presbyterian Minister, author, spiritual director, meditation and yoga teacher. Together, we will take guidance from our own Scriptures while exploring practices found in other traditions (for instance, the Eastern chakra system that promotes well-being). Discussion, meditations, and simple breath work and yoga postures that can be done sitting or standing will be part of the afternoon. The registration fee is $15 per person. Financial assistance is available if needed. Be sure to register by Feb. 8th.
