In September 2020, Saint Luke will welcome guests from Mikanjuni, our companion congregation in Tanzania. When our guests depart, we will send them home with “Prayer Squares”—personal, heartfelt, homemade gifts from Saint Luke. The prayer squares will give our companion members at Mikanjuni a token of our care and a tangible reminder that we are praying for them. In just 4 months, we have created 1000 Prayer Squares for Mikanjuni and we are not done yet! In this workshop, teachers will show you how to knit or crochet a prayer square. No previous experience necessary. Adults and youth in grades 6-12 are welcome to learn together and assemble squares. ***This event will be rescheduled for a future date.
