Students age 12+ are going to Gemma Services to play games and lead activities with children! Many of the children at Gemma Services have been through significant trauma. Being able to have positive experiences with big kids and adults from a local church shows them that people and God care. We will meet at Saint Luke at 12:15 and return by 4:00pm. Activities with the children will occur from 1-2:30pm. On our way back to church, we will stop for frozen yogurt to discuss the experience and spend time together. Adult volunteers are also needed.

The Welcome Church is an ELCA church without walls proclaiming the hope and love of a gracious God to all people, especially to people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. Volunteers are invited to participate in a brief outdoor worship service together, as well as serve drinks and snacks. We are also collecting donations of individually wrapped snacks and bottled drinks to serve, socks (large and small sizes), blankets (new or gently used), and plastic bags or reusable grocery bags. It is a meaningful experience to intentionally include all of God's children in worship, especially those often excluded! We will carpool together from Saint Luke.

This summer, Spark students (Age 11+) will spend a week putting their faith into action as we make homes warmer, safer and drier. As we work side-by-side, we will forge strong friendships, lives will be changed, and we will learn from our neighbors in Appalachia. We will be serving from June 30th- July 6th. Location is TBD. If you are interested in being a part of this year's ASP Adventure, be sure to fill out the interest form below and join us at the meeting in Schlack Hall.

Bring along new unwrapped socks, gloves, hats or pajamas for a child (infant-size 6). Gifts can be hung on our tree. Donations for Jane Addams will run through January 7th.

With holidays right around the corner, we will collect non-perishable food for our local food pantry. Holiday favorites like rice, canned yams, canned green beans, mushroom soup, and french fried onions are especially needed, in addition to regular staples like crackers, pasta, pasta sauce, juice, applesauce cups, tuna, peanut butter, jelly, and cookies. If you’re able to provide these for one of the 125 families served each month by the Great Valley Food Cupboard, please drop them off in the boxes near Schlack Hall by Nov. 12th.
